TSA Conference & Costs
It’s that time of year again! Between TSA Conference and travel expenses, WJMS TSA needs to raise about $7,000. Fundraising has changed greatly over the last few years, with the addition of social media and companies that assist in organizing the process.
Starting today, 11-27-2018, we will ask each TSA student to personally raise at least $175 to cover the cost of the conference. WJMS TSA will facilitate our own campaign with 100% of all money raised going to WJMS TSA. Even better, all donations are Tax Deductible. Every student will need to raise at least their portion to cover costs for the conference.
How it Works:
We are going to do a letter-writing campaign, where we are asking for donations to the program. This allows us to keep 100% of the money donated. Students are encouraged to reach out to family and friends and ask for donations. This can be done via writing letters, emails, phone calls, etc. Students may also use suggested phrases from the TSA Web Site Fundraiser ideas (On Mr. Williams’ website) to start the conversations.
We can accept checks; all checks must be made out to “WJMS,” and on the notation line, “TSA- student name.” This is important to make sure the money goes to the TSA program, and credit is given to the appropriate student. All funds should be given directly to the school financial secretary, Debbie Jessee. Students will also need to notify a TSA treasurer, as they will keep track of all donations.

Subject Line - Can You Help (Student Name) Fund-raise to attend Technology Student Assoc. Conference
Hello, my name is (Student Name), and I have the opportunity to attend the Technology Student Assoc. Conference in February with my team from West Jefferson Middle School. I will be joining over 1900 Colorado High School and Middle Schools competing in 42 different events ranging from Robotic Vehicle to Fashion Design.
However, to attend these learning and leadership activities, I have to raise $175 for the 3-day conference. Additional funds must be raised to maintain the WJMS TSA Chapter.
